Henpecked এর বাংলা অর্থ হল ‘স্ত্রীবশ’। এই শব্দটি এমন কোন পুরুষের জন্য ব্যবহার করা হয় যে তার স্ত্রীর অধীনে থাকে বা স্ত্রীর কথায় ওঠে বসে। যখন কেউ কোন পুরুষকে তার স্ত্রীর কথায় কথায় চলার জন্য অপছন্দ করে তখন সে সেই পুরুষের জন্য henpecked শব্দের ব্যবহার করে। যেমনঃ
