আসলে কেউ বড়ো হয় না, বড়োর মত দেখায়,
নকলে আর আসলে তাকে বড়োর মত দেখায়
গাছের কাছে গিয়ে দাঁড়াও, দেখবে কত ছোটো,
সোনার তাল তাংড়ে ধরে পেয়েছো ধূলিমুঠো।
ভালবাসার দীঘিতে কত করেছো অবগাহন
পেয়েছ সুখ দু:খ আর ছলে ভোলানো দাহ
পুড়েছো বনে মালার মতো, যাওনি তবু ছেড়ে
যতক্ষণ স্মৃতি আড়াল নিয়েছে তাকে কেড়ে।
আসলে তুমি ক্ষুদ্র ছোটো, ফুলের মতো বাগানে ফোটো
বিরহে যদি দাঁড়িয়ে ওঠো, ভূতের মতো দেখায়!
গাছের কাছে গিয়ে দাঁড়াও, দেখবে কত ছোটো।
